Watermark - Words by the Water

Working with fellow designers, Mica Connelly and Sarah Gill, we designed the latest edition of Watermark for the Words by the Water Festival in Keswick.

The Informer Newspaper, Digital Booklet

I have just uploaded my designs to Issuu, which compiles the PDF into a nicely presented digital booklet. However, the overprinting doesn't work as well digitally as it does when printed.

Transition Monograph

I was asked to create an A5 booklet with cover, based on the word 'Transition.' I decided to primarilly use photography and patterns instead of typography for a change, to give the impression of transition through the spreads.

Papercut Project W.I.P.

This is a work in progress, the brief is to create something interesting by only cutting into multi-coloured paper. I thought rather than just rip and cut at random, I would design something along the theme of the 2010 UK general elections (albeit a little late) I hope to cut into the paper to add pie charts and graphs (if I have enough room that is) and see what comes of it. So far though, I am very impressed! My skill with a knife has increased massively and the result is quite effective!

Summative - The Journey So Far

We were asked to produced another self promotional piece with one of the dimensions of the booklet being 10cm wide/high and a maximum of 12 pages. I decided to create a booklet with the same stock as my book covers as it was my favorite outcome this year, and works especially well.

What I've Learnt This Semester.

For this brief I was asked to create a final piece to show off what we have learnt in the first semester of year 2. I decided to create 3 folded leaflets. I decided to section each leaflet by categories (Typography & Hierarchy, Format & Grids, and Image & Scale) All 3 of the leaflets were then presented in a slip case which can be unfolded and put back together.

Keyring Collection Catalogue

My final piece for the collection in a square format, with an embossed case. I will hopefully re-do this, with a spiral bind to compliment the contents of the catalogue, but besides that I'm very happy with the outcome.
