A poster in development for the band Bad Manners. I wanted to try something a little different with the placement of the image this time, and by placing it upside down is appropriate for the band's ska style, and it draws the viewer in. I would like to hear peoples opinions on it before I send it off, I'm unsure about the placement of 'With Supporting Acts The User Friendly.'
Awesome as always Gary! I think the supporting act looks fine where it is, maybe make it a tad smaller if it's bugging you. I find the positioning of the phone number really annoying though. How does it look if you give it the line above "The Kings Head"?
ReplyDeleteTotally love the layout though! It grabbed my attention before I even noticed it was coming from your blog lol. I haven't heard of this band so don't know their style, but majority of Ska bands I know are a bit more colorful (bar The Special). I'm not criticizing, I just thought it was for an Alternative Rock band (Brand New, Finch, etc) until you mentioned Ska.
It does look ace though. It's the kind of poster that would make me want to know the band and go to the show.
